Death is what makes life a choice
I’ve been thinking about something:
If a person never reflects on death,
it is very difficult to truly understand life.
In fact, I’ve begun to wonder—
Without death as a teacher,
would life have any meaning at all?
It’s like a game with no ending,
no time limit,
and unlimited shots—
Would it still matter?
It is precisely because it ends
that every choice becomes meaningful.
It is because life is finite
that it gains weight.
Because we will all eventually die,
every material achievement will fade.
If everything ends in decay and disappearance,
then what truly matters
is no longer the outcome —
but the process itself.
And death reminds us of something essential:
This process is finite.
Time is limited.
Opportunities are limited.
And so are we.
It is precisely because of this limitation
that our choices begin to carry weight.
So the meaning of life
is not found in what we accumulate,
but in how we move through this finite journey.
