People Often Talk Most About What They Lack

I’ve often felt that people tend to talk most about what they lack.

That’s why I’m usually skeptical when I see organizations constantly talking about their culture, values, and principles.

I’ve noticed something rather ironic:

When principles and interests are aligned, everyone seems to have strong principles.

But when principles conflict with interests, most people, organizations, and institutions eventually choose their interests.

That’s why I believe you shouldn’t judge people or organizations by what they say or write.

You should judge them by what they choose.

What is truly lived doesn’t need constant promotion.

And what is genuinely valued doesn’t need to be written on every wall.
