Teaching as the Ultimate Test of Understanding

Teaching as the Ultimate Test of Understanding

In the world of engineering and knowledge,

true strength is not about defeating others.

True strength lies in how deeply you understand your field.

Do you truly understand the principles?

Can you explain them clearly?

Can you see through the essence of the problem?

This is why I strongly advocate the Feynman Technique.

At its core, it is a simple but powerful learning loop:

First, study a topic.

Second, ask yourself questions:

What do I still not understand? Why does this work?

Third, try to explain the idea in the simplest and clearest way.

Fourth, teach it to someone else.

When you begin explaining, you will inevitably stumble.

Those moments of hesitation reveal exactly where your understanding is incomplete.

Then you return to the material and refine your understanding.

This creates a closed loop of learning.

Through this loop, knowledge becomes truly yours.

But many people ask:

What if there is no one around to teach?

My answer is simple:

Record a video and explain the topic.

When you try to clearly explain a concept in a video,

you are effectively testing your own understanding.

If you can explain it clearly,

you have likely grasped the core of the idea.

More importantly, your audience will ask questions.

Those questions will reveal the gaps in your understanding,

and the learning loop begins again.

In this sense, social media is not merely a broadcasting platform.

It is a powerful tool for learning.

By sharing what you learn, you:

• deepen your understanding

• build your digital assets

• accumulate influence and audience

• connect with the world

That is why I often encourage engineers and learners:

If you want to truly understand something,

teach it to the world.

Topic,
