The Meaning of Strength
When manga artist Inoue Takehiko created Vagabond, he was not simply telling the story of Miyamoto Musashi.
For him, the work was also a personal journey—an exploration of a deeper question:
What does it truly mean to be strong?
In the early stages of the story, Musashi believes that strength means defeating others in duels and proving himself through victory. But as his journey unfolds, he gradually realizes that true strength is not merely about overcoming opponents, but about the continuous refinement of oneself.
For me, strength has never been about comparing myself with others.
True strength is comparing yourself with who you were yesterday.
If today you are a little better than yesterday,
and tomorrow you are a little better than today,
then growth begins to accumulate—just like compound interest.
Over time, mastery becomes not a question of talent, but simply a matter of time.
This philosophy is also the reason why I created YEHSTALK.SCHOOL and why I dedicate myself to teaching and sharing knowledge.
My goal is not only to teach engineering techniques, but to help my students and fellow engineers become stronger.
Not only stronger in skills,
but stronger in mindset.
Beyond motor control and engineering knowledge, I hope they learn a way of thinking—a mindset of continuous growth.
To improve a little every day,
and allow progress to compound over time.
When that happens, each person can walk their own path and eventually become a truly strong engineer.
如果今天的自己,比昨天更好一點;
明天的自己,又比今天更進步一點;
這也是我創立 YEHSTALK.SCHOOL、製作課程與分享知識的原因。
